The day was looking kind of bleak - clouds and the radar map was showing rain all over the area. But outside the pavement was dry so Mike and Allen headed over to Whitt's for their open house / poker run event. There was free lunch so that was part of the draw too. Mike arrived first and found a guy named Dale who also rode a Road King, so they were chatting when Allen rode up about 25 minutes late. We all started talking 'bout bikes and things of this nature. Mike and Dale had already consumed a few hot dogs so Allen got his fair share before the boys signed up for a demo ride of a fairly new 2011 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Once Mike pulled out it promptly started to sprinkle but fortunately it soon stopped and for the most part we only saw a few more drops of rain. Allen got his turn and rode away with the camera around his chest so Mike couldn't get any action shots! Oh well, upon return Allen posed for a few pictures and then it was time to sit on a few dream bikes inside. Both our boys loved the new 2012 Road Glide Ultra (the red one) and that blue version with the standard seat was pretty cool too.

So there was a rumor about a car show in the old downtown part of Manassas. We soon found it and boy, there were lots of cool classic cars on hand. They got sprinkled on too but it didn't take long for the owners to wipe them down for the show. We took lots of pictures and then had a nice lunch (2nd one mind you) at a cafe near the show. Alas it was time to head home so the boys went separate direction and took some back roads home.
