Woody and Allen took advantage of the beautiful weather on Thanksgiving weekend and did a 4-5 hour ride through Clifton, Woodbridge, Manassas, and Warrenton. The boys looked for a few houses along the way, specifically Tom Hudson's house and a new house with a five car garage, both near Davis Ford Road. Tom tried to put us to work mulching his yard, but we negotiated a tour of his house instead. It was an amazing house, and one you should hope to be invited to for a party. There are three patios, a wine cellar, and a hot tub.

Ryan came up with a nice ride up the Snickersville Turnpike, which some of us have experienced a few times. This is a great road and it's full of history. There is a Snickersville Turnpike Association dedicated towards keeping the road from being over-developed. Would you believe that it even had a toll booth that was operational back in 1915? Would you believe that many Civil War skirmishes took place along the full length of the turnpike?

We didn't see any toll booths on this cold fall day (mid-40's most of the time), but we did get a good feel for the curves on Snickesville Turnpike. The group followed Ryan up to Route 7, where we did a quick couple of left turns to get onto Blueridge Mountain road to head back south again to Route 50. We ate lunch at a pub in Middleburg, and some of us headed over to Patriot H-D to see the new bikes. This was the first WORMS rides for Ryan and Rob. This was Rose's first WORMS ride on her own bike! Way to go Rose!

Remember when Gary and Kathy attended Big Daddy's Leather "Bike Night in the Burg" on September 20th? They won the Antique Bike award that evening, and the WORMS joined them at this event as they entered and won the "1st Place Antique" Bike Award at BDL's end of the season event. Gary's 1980 BMW was entered in the final judging during Big Daddy Leather's "Bike Night in the Burg Bike Off" and just look at the pictures below to see how things worked out.
