2nd Annual Big Daddy Leather Poker Run, May 6th

Kathy, Gary, and Allen participated in their first poker run with Big Daddy Leather's hosting the show. There were prizes for the best poker hand (more on that later), the worst hand, and several other contests too. The route had four checkpoints, and bikers formed off in groups all headed (hopefully) in the right direction. Gary had a GPS unit on his new BMW, and Allen followed him when the leader of our group took a wrong turn on the third leg. The riding experience was wonderful, as the roads down in Fredericksburg are a challenge, the scenery was beautiful, and the weather? It was a perfect day for a ride.

Now remember we mentioned the poker hands? Well, Kathy and Gary stayed at Camille's (our final stop and the meeting place for Big Daddy Leather rides) for a few hours after the ride was over, so they could find out who won best poker hand and things of this nature. Allen elected to head home, since his best hand was only a pair of tens. Allen passed his door prize ticket to Kathy, and off he went. As it turned out, Gary won best hand, and he had a selection of pretty nice items. He went for a $150 gift certificate for under-tank LEDs on any type of bike. Can you believe he didn't select the Wing dinner for 10 people at Hooters??? A Harley rider would have gone for that... Anyway, Allen's ticket was called for a free body piercing. Kathy accepted the prize, so we all get to wonder what part of her body will be pierced. She claims that another ear piercing is needed, but time will tell. There were other prizes awarded too, including one hour of personal service for Gary!! You can guess who the big winners were at this event. It was tons of fun too.
